Coffeebreak Island is a Filipino ska, reggae, and rock & roll band from Quezon City that has been championing independent music since 2001. Known for their infectious grooves, heartfelt songwriting, and energetic live performances, the band seamlessly blends ska, reggae, soul, punk, and rock 'n' roll into a sound that is both timeless and distinctly Filipino.

ABOUT COFFEEBREAK ISLAND

CoffeeBreak Island emerged in 2001 as a prominent force in the growing reggae scene in Metro Manila. This dynamic band goes beyond just ska and reggae, infusing their music with elements of rock & roll, soul, and punk, creating a unique sound, most evident in their original compositions. Over the years, they have experienced changes in lineup due to evolving priorities. Currently, the band features founding member Paul Puti-an as the singer, guitarist, and songwriter, alongside Arman “Mado" Velasco on bass, Kenneth Carayag on drums, Bong Termulo on trumpet, and Beckman on percussions.

Led by Paul Puti-an, CoffeeBreak Island continues to evolve while staying true to its roots. With acclaimed album releases such as "No Hero”, "Heart Attack", and their latest album, "Alaala", the band explores themes of love, resilience, nostalgia, and everyday life, connecting deeply with audiences through honest storytelling and memorable melodies.

For over two decades, Coffeebreak Island has shared stages at festivals, clubs, and cultural events across the Philippines, earning a reputation for vibrant performances that bring people together. As they enter a new chapter, the band remains committed to creating music that celebrates community, authenticity, and the enduring spirit of Filipino independent music.
